🥳 I just packed and labeled the final orders for the Kickstarter! The last set of packages will be taken to the post office Monday morning. It feels great to have reached this point the weekend before Thanksgiving.

(To be fair, there are still 23 of you who have not filled out a shipping survey! If you log in to Kickstarter, you will find a direct message from me with your survey URL!)

I have loved seeing the notes from those of you who have already received yours in the mail. Keep sending them my way!

It's finally starting to feel like autumn here in Memphis. Leaves are falling, as is the temperature. In the PodCabin, I've been hard at work packing and shipping calendars. Yesterday, I hosted a live stream doing just that:

As of this writing, I have about 300 packages left to pack and send out! All in all, this year's fulfillment has gone much smoother than last time. I learned a lot about the process last time around that is really paying off this year.

I am still missing surveys from about two dozen of you! If you haven't filled out a survey on BackerKit, please check your private messages on Kickstarter — there, you will find a link to your survey to confirm your address.

The calendars are here!

I took delivery of 21 boxes of calendars on Monday, and I am so, so happy with how they came out! Printing took a little longer than I expected, but they were worth the wait. I've spent the last couple of days starting to pack calendars for them to join the stickers and 4x6 prints in preparation for shipping.

Speaking of shipping, packages will start going out in about a week. You'll receive an email with a tracking number when your order is on its way!

As a reminder, if you have not filled out a survey on BackerKit, please check your email or DMs on Kickstarter, if you used "Sign in with Apple." Currently, there are about 45 of you who have not done so.

I am excited to see photos of the calendars hanging in offices and homes over the next year. Thanks again for the support of this project.

Hello! It's been a busy month around here with Relay FM's annual fundraiser for St. Jude, but that is winding down this week, and I'm back in calendar land! Over the last few weeks, I've made some significant progress:

  • The stickers have been all packed! Big thanks to Myke Hurley and his wife Adina for helping while they were in Memphis a couple of weeks ago.
  • The 4x6 prints are here, and packing of those is underway now.
  • I am receiving the final calendar proof from the printer today and should give them the green light for production in the coming days!
Stickers are packed!

As mentioned in a previous update, I am using BackerKit to handle fulfillment and additional orders.

Currently, there are 71 of you who have not filled out your survey. You should have a PM from me on Kickstarter with a link. If you haven't received a link to your survey, please get in touch.

If you missed the Kickstarter or know someone who did, pre-orders can be placed online now as well!

It's been a big week here in Calendar Production Land.

Since stickers showed up two weeks ago, we've been hard at work getting them packed. Turns out, packing stickers into little baggies is a pretty great second activity when watching a movie at night.

The calendar itself has gone through the second round of proofing and fact-checking and I'm very happy with how that's shaped up. On Monday, I sent the printer a copy of the calendar for a print test. Once I have that in hand — hopefully next week — I'll do one last round of proofing, and then I should be good to provide the printer with a production-ready file.

While proofing, I decided to change the cover photo of the calendar. Originally, it was a shot of an iMac G4 running OS X Panther, with the "About This Mac" item selected from the Apple menu. However, I ended up using an iMac G4 in another shot, so decided to go a different direction for the cover:

In other news, I have started to send our surveys via BackerKit. They should be arriving in your email soon. If you use "Sign in with Apple" on Kickstarter, please let me know if you do not receive the survey. I ran into some issues with this system last year, but I'm hopeful Apple has straightened it out.

The BackerKit survey will let you add additional items to your order, so if you want more stickers, an extra calendar or 4x6 prints of the images in the 2023 Calendar, you can order them on BackerKit.

If you missed the Kickstarter, or know someone who did, pre-orders can be placed online now as well!
